Is Lattafa Al Qiam Silver a Good Bvlgari Tygar Dupe? Eight Times Cheaper per Millilitre

The short answer

Accord Twin lists Lattafa Al Qiam Silver as the dupe for Bvlgari Tygar. Tygar is $500 for 125 ml on Bvlgari's US store and Al Qiam Silver is $49.99 for 100 ml on Lattafa's, both checked 2026-09-22: $4 a millilitre against about 50 cents, eight times the price. Both list grapefruit, ginger, ambrette, ambroxan and musk on the Accord Twin list, though Lattafa's own page shares only four of those.

Bvlgari Tygar is a grapefruit and ambroxan eau de parfum at $500 for 125 ml, the highest sticker price among the 122 bottles on the Accord Twin list. Lattafa Al Qiam Silver is the bottle sellers call its clone, at $49.99 for 100 ml, and the two share every one of the five notes Accord Twin lists for them.

This guide works out what that pairing is worth: the real gap once the two bottle sizes are counted, who actually makes the clone claim, and where the matching note lists stop being evidence. Every price names its shop and the date it was read. Accord Twin has not smelled either bottle, and it says so wherever that matters.

What is the Bvlgari Tygar dupe on Accord Twin?

Accord Twin lists Lattafa Al Qiam Silver as the dupe for Bvlgari Tygar, and the two bottles share an identical five-note list: grapefruit, ginger, ambrette, ambroxan and musk. Tygar is $500 for 125 ml on Bvlgari's own US store. Al Qiam Silver is $49.99 for 100 ml on Lattafa's US store. Both prices were read on 2026-09-22.

Both are eaux de parfum, and both sit in the Citrus family of Michael Edwards' Fragrance Wheel, the classification the whole Accord Twin list uses. Tygar belongs to Bvlgari's Le Gemme collection, and the same store page shows six other Le Gemme bottles at the same $500. Accord Twin holds no wear-hour figure for either bottle, so this guide states none. The two bottles also come in different sizes, which changes how the gap should be read, and the next section does that sum properly. The God of Fire and Odyssey Go Mango guide runs the same per-millilitre sum on an Armaf clone sold in a bigger bottle than its original.

How big is the price gap once bottle size is counted?

Per millilitre, Tygar costs $4 and Al Qiam Silver costs about 50 cents, so the original is eight times the price for the same amount of liquid. The two sticker prices cannot simply be subtracted, because they buy different volumes: 125 ml of Tygar against 100 ml of Al Qiam Silver.

Per millilitre, Tygar costs eight times as much.

The sum is short enough to check yourself. $500 divided by 125 is $4. $49.99 divided by 100 is just under 50 cents. Four dollars over half a dollar is eight. A raw subtraction of the two sticker prices would overstate the saving, because it quietly counts 25 ml of Tygar that Al Qiam Silver never sells you.

Accord Twin has made this mistake before and now refuses it by rule: a 50 ml price was once set against a 100 ml price, and it made a dearer bottle look cheaper than the original it was paired with. If you only want a small amount of Tygar to try, a decant changes the sum again, and that guide works through how.

Is Tygar the most expensive bottle Accord Twin lists?

Tygar carries the highest sticker price of the 122 bottles on the Accord Twin list, at $500, but it is not the most expensive by the millilitre. Of the 56 bottles on the list that carry both a shop and a bottle size, Tygar ranks seventh by price per millilitre.

The six ahead of it are all sold in 50 ml bottles. Tom Ford Lost Cherry is $405 for 50 ml at Sephora, checked 2026-09-18, which works out at $8.10 a millilitre, roughly double the rate of Tygar. The Lost Cherry and Afnan Turathi Red guide runs the same per-millilitre sum against its claimed clone. Two Creed bottles and two more from Tom Ford sit between them, then Le Labo Santal 33.

Al Qiam Silver ranks 49th of the same 56. The pair is still a wide contrast by rate: an original near the top of the table against a copy near the bottom.

A large bottle can make a moderate rate look like a luxury price, and a small bottle can make a luxury rate look moderate. Divide by the millilitres before deciding what anything costs, including the original.

Who says Al Qiam Silver is a Tygar clone?

The Tygar pairing comes from sellers and reviewers, not from Lattafa: Lattafa's own US product page for Al Qiam Silver does not mention Tygar or Bvlgari anywhere.

The clearest claim found is a shop listing. Rimal Al Misk, a retailer based in Lebanon going by its contact details, titles its product page "Al Qiam Silver by Lattafa Pride - Bvlgari Tygar Clone" and sells it for $40 on that page. A seller naming the bottle it hopes you are searching for is marketing, not independent confirmation, and no independent side-by-side test was found in the time spent looking.

Several reviewer videos also call it a Tygar clone in their titles, and at least one asks in its title whether it is worth checking out at all. Accord Twin did not watch them in full and does not cite their verdicts here.

Accord Twin once checked 274 published dupe claims against the listed notes on both sides and removed 83 that showed almost no overlap. This claim would survive that test, because the two lists match. What that test cannot do is prove a smell.

What do grapefruit, ginger, ambrette, ambroxan and musk usually smell like?

Together, the five shared notes describe a bright citrus opening over a warm, skin-like base: grapefruit and ginger on top, ambrette, ambroxan and musk underneath. Those descriptions are how the materials are usually described, not a report from a wrist.

Grapefruit is usually described as sharper and more bitter than orange. Ginger is usually described as fresh and peppery rather than sweet. Fourteen of the 122 bottles on the Accord Twin list name grapefruit, and seven name ginger, so neither note alone makes this pair unusual.

The base is where the pair narrows. Only four of the 122 bottles list ambrette, a seed material usually described as musky and slightly fruity. Only three list ambroxan, which the guide to ambergris, ambroxan and cetalox explains in full: a lab-made molecule usually described as warm, woody and faintly salty. Musk is covered in the guide to what musk smells like, and 13 bottles on the list name it.

Tygar and Al Qiam Silver are the only two bottles that list all five of these notes.

Why does Bvlgari describe Tygar with ambergris?

Bvlgari's own product page says Tygar is "built around accords of fresh bursting grapefruit, and deep sophisticated ambergris", and accords is the key word. An accord is a blend built to suggest a smell, not a single raw material.

Real ambergris is not something a US shop can freely trade. NOAA Fisheries states that you may not collect, keep or sell ambergris because it comes from an endangered marine mammal. So an ambergris accord in a bottle sold in the US is best read as a composition that suggests ambergris, and ambroxan is the best-known molecule used for that job.

That is also why the Accord Twin list names ambroxan for Tygar rather than ambergris. The same list names ambroxan for only two other bottles: Al Qiam Silver and Dior Sauvage. Dior Sauvage is an eau de toilette at $135 for 60 ml at Sephora, checked 2026-09-18, in the Aromatic family rather than Citrus, and it pairs ambroxan with bergamot, sichuan pepper and lavender instead of grapefruit and ginger.

Bvlgari does not publish a formula, so none of this says how much of anything is in the bottle.

How much can two note lists tell you about Tygar?

Two matching note lists tell you that two bottles were described with the same five materials, and nothing about proportion, quality or how either wears. No brand publishes its formula, and a list of five names cannot carry a ratio.

There is a second limit here, and it is a real one. The five notes on the Accord Twin list are not the note list Lattafa itself prints. Lattafa's US store lists grapefruit and ginger on top, ambroxan and sandalwood in the middle, and musk and vetiver at the base. Four of those six match the Accord Twin list. Lattafa's page adds sandalwood and vetiver, and it does not name ambrette at all.

So the identical five-note match is partly an artefact of how the list was compiled, and the honest count, on the brand's own words, is four shared notes out of six. That is still a close overlap. It is not a copy.

Accord Twin has never smelled either bottle. The one measured fact about wear that applies here is general: Schwarzenbach and Bertschi of Givaudan sampled the air above treated skin in 2001 and watched the concentration fall away over several hours.

Which other bottles on the list sit near Tygar?

Nine of the 122 bottles on the Accord Twin list sit in the Citrus family with Tygar, and Tygar has the highest sticker price of the nine. Al Qiam Silver is the fourth cheapest of them, behind Aldi Lacura Amalfi Brilliante and two Zara bottles.

Only two Citrus bottles besides the pair carry both a shop and a size. Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue is an eau de toilette at $150 for 100 ml at Sephora, checked 2026-09-18, wearing around 4 hours, with sicilian lemon, apple, jasmine and cedar. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is $300 for 50 ml at Sephora, checked 2026-09-19, a far higher rate. Neither shares a single listed note with Tygar.

If the ambroxan base is what draws you rather than the grapefruit, Dior Sauvage is the other bottle on the list that names it. It wears around 6 hours on the Accord Twin list.

Lattafa has four bottles on the list, and the Lattafa Asad guide covers another of them, paired with Dior Homme Intense. Al Qiam Silver is the only Lattafa bottle on the list in the Citrus family.

Who should buy Al Qiam Silver instead of Tygar?

Al Qiam Silver suits a buyer who wants the grapefruit-over-ambroxan style Tygar is known for and is willing to accept an unconfirmed pairing to pay about 50 cents a millilitre rather than $4.

Buy it if this is you:

Do not buy it if this is you:

What is the smart way to test Al Qiam Silver before buying Tygar?

The smart test is to wear Al Qiam Silver for a full day and judge it hours in, once the grapefruit has faded and the ambroxan and musk are what remain. Citrus notes are the lightest part of a composition and the first to go, so the opening says little about the base you will live with.

If, hours in, you want more of the base, or something drier underneath it, that is a reason to sample Tygar itself before buying a full bottle. The Bvlgari US store page shows Tygar in a 125 ml size, which puts the cheapest route into the original through a decant or a counter tester rather than a bottle.

If you are happy with Al Qiam Silver, you have paid about 50 cents a millilitre for a style that costs $4 a millilitre from Bvlgari. And if you are not, you have learned it for $49.99 rather than $500.

Prices move, and stock moves faster. If a shop shows a different figure from the ones on this page, trust the shop.

What to remember

Common questions

Is Lattafa Al Qiam Silver a dupe of Bvlgari Tygar?

Accord Twin lists it as the Tygar dupe, and sellers market it as a Tygar clone, but Lattafa itself does not make that claim on its US product page. The two share five notes on the Accord Twin list: grapefruit, ginger, ambrette, ambroxan and musk.

How much cheaper is Al Qiam Silver than Tygar?

Al Qiam Silver is about 50 cents a millilitre against $4 for Tygar, so Tygar is eight times the price for the same volume. The sticker prices are $49.99 for 100 ml and $500 for 125 ml, both checked 2026-09-22.

What does Bvlgari Tygar smell like?

Bvlgari describes Tygar as built around accords of grapefruit and ambergris. The Accord Twin list names grapefruit, ginger, ambrette, ambroxan and musk, which is usually described as bitter citrus over a warm, skin-like base. Accord Twin has not smelled it.

How long does Al Qiam Silver last?

Accord Twin holds no wear figure for Al Qiam Silver or for Tygar, so it states none. Both are eaux de parfum, which sets a concentration band but not a number of hours.

Where can I buy Al Qiam Silver in the US?

Lattafa's US store lists it at $49.99 for 100 ml, but it showed as sold out on 2026-09-22, and FragranceX offered only a waiting list the same day. Stock changes, so check the shop before counting on it.

Is there another bottle on the list with Tygar's ambroxan?

Dior Sauvage is the only other bottle on the Accord Twin list that names ambroxan, at $135 for 60 ml at Sephora. It is an Aromatic eau de toilette, not a Citrus eau de parfum, and Accord Twin does not pair it with Tygar.

Prices here are the figures Accord Twin lists, last checked September 2026. They are a reference for comparing bottles, not one shop's till: the same bottle moves with size and retailer, so check the shop before buying.

Tell Accord Twin whether you want the grapefruit or the warm ambroxan base, and it will name the bottle at each price and check your own words against the notes.
